"Although I have been an artist all of my life, I have created sculpture in different media since the early 80's. I am most recognized for my monumental human form and wildlife work in stone and in polyester resin." Wayne Arthur was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

RECENT WORK
  • 1996, completed and installed 28 foot wing span, Mallard in Flight (in mixed media) for community of Petersfield, Manitoba
  • 1994, completed and installed a sculpture of three local, native mushrooms in mixed media for the Meleb-Cumming-Park School Reunion Committee in Meleb, Manitoba
  • 1990, completed and installed two full in the round local limestone sculptures that form an aboriginal hunting scene at the Forks National Historic Site, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, commissioned by the Canadian Parks Service
  • 1990, completed and installed a 24 foot leaping deer in mixed media in Poplarfield, Manitoba
  • 1988, completed and installed a relief sculpture 'The Caring Hands', in local limestone for Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The largest pair of directly carved hands in the world. (13' X 10').
